Established in 2001 by Travis Holmquist and Jim Lorenz, Holmquist-Lorenz Construction Company has expanded from an enterprising, two person operation, to an organization with over 25 employees based out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  In 2011, Jim Lorenz elected to leave HLCC in pursuit of other personal opportunities.  Travis Holmquist has continued to operate and manage HLCC Construction Company with his partner of 8 years, Chad Hare.  HLCC specializes in custom residential building and remodel projects, along with commercial construction, in the resort community of Steamboat Springs, and surrounding counties of northwest Colorado.

Building mountain resort based projects begins with a commitment to teamwork.  HLCC, along with its dedicated employees and partners, bring a collaborative approach in everything we do.  Experience has taught us that working together with owners, architects, consultants and subcontractors is the recipe for a successful project, built on time and within budget, without ever having to compromise quality.

As a mountain based contractor since our inception over a decade ago, HLCC know the ropes like few others.  We have built in difficult to access mountain areas, dealt with extreme mountain weather related conditions and are familiar with government agencies and their criteria throughout the regions we build in.  There is a focus on sustainable building practices, both on projects built, and what's used to build them. And, most importantly, we understand what it takes to build residential, commercial and public buildings.  Our vast experience and diverse portfolio demonstrates our multi-faceted capabilities.
